The Completely Motorbikes Triumph consisting of Eugene and James McManus had a mixed weekend at Cadwell Park. Eugene gained an 8th and 6th place; James unfortunately crashed out in the closing stages of race one but was 13th in race two.
Cadwell is a very tricky circuit to learn, and each circuit is new to Eugene and James on the Triumph so every round they are building new data.
Eugene had a solid qualifying session and ended up starting the first race from 7th and James from 22nd on the grid. Eugene had a good race and finished in 8th; James was making good progress through the field before his crash.
For the main feature race on Monday, Eugene started from 13th and James from 18th. Both rode well and gained several places, Eugene moving up to 6thand James to 13th. They are both looking forward to getting to Oulton Park.
Eugene McManus – “I have a lot of positives to take aways from this weekend at Cadwell. We learnt a lot with the bike, but we unfortunately made the wrong decision for race one but managed to make some good changes for race two. I felt strong in the second race and was happy until I made a small mistake which cost me dearly. We will continue to move forwards and make improvements for Oulton Park.”
James McManus – “I’m happy with the progression I made again this weekend at Cadwell. It’s the first time I’ve ever raced there, and it was quite an experience! I got faster in every session, and I learnt a lot and came away with some more Championship points.”
