The Specsavers Suzuki team were at Oulton Park this weekend with Leon Jeacock in the British Superbike class and Bjorn Estment in the National Superstock 1000 class.

Leon Jeacock had another solid weekend continually improving and just narrowly missing out on the points in all races. He qualified in 25th position for the opening race on Saturday and was forced to retire to the pits after running on and re-joining a long way behind the pack.
For race two on Sunday, he was placed in 24th place on the grid and after a dramatic race with two red flags he was able to finish in 16th position. For the final race of the weekend, he started from 16th place and finished in 19th.
Leon Jeacock – “The weekend started off quite difficult, however, by race two we had found a good direction to go in and we went 0.7 faster and I was in a battle for 14th place, unfortunately I struggled with tyre life and ended the race in 16th place. I was happy with the result and especially the lap time, nearly a full second faster than my previous best.
Whilst we were sat on the grid for race 3 we noticed a problem but didn’t have time to solve it, meaning from the start I was struggling more than previous races so had to settle for 19th. This was frustrating as I made a really good first lap to come round in 13th.”

Bjorn Estment once again had another impressive weekend on the Specsavers Suzuki. He had some good sessions and was able to qualify in 10th place, he managed to get away with the pack and was fighting hard but a small fuelling issue saw him lose a few places in the closing stages of the race, finishing in 14th.
For race two on Sunday, he was placed in 13th place on the grid, once again he got a good start and worked very hard throughout the race to gain 14th place at the end of the 10 laps. He has been able to gain some more valuable Championship points and we are looking forward to a strong end to the season at Donington and Brands.
Bjorn Estment – “After a really positive start at Oulton Park in the practice and qualifying sessions. I was a little bit disappointed with the results as I think we could have done better. It was a good weekend and running near the front and the gap to the front has halved and our pace is good.
It’s good progress for the team and we are looking forward to a strong finish to the year at Donington and Brands. Thank you to my great team and all the people around me that help me.”
